Our Journey

From humble beginnings to becoming a trusted support network, our journey is defined by dedication, growth, and an unwavering commitment to empowering young lives.

September 2020

Company Foundation and First Centre

Founder and CEO, Jamie Pilling, launched JEP Youth Engagement with a clear purpose: to create a space where every young person feels valued and empowered. By March 2021, that vision became reality with the opening of our first centre at Salford Quays - A small, bright hub designed for one-to-one engagement, building confidence, and to lay the groundwork for every success story to come.

May 2022

Relocation to Salford Innovation Forum

In May 22, we relocated to Salford Innovation Forum to give our young people more space to grow, learn, and thrive. The move marked a key milestone in our journey, expanding our capacity to support every individual in an environment that reflects our commitment to progress and possibility.

September 2023

Salford Secondary Education Hub Opens

In September 23, we opened our Salford Secondary Education Hub in Salford Quays -A bigger, purpose-built space to meet growing demand and better support the young people of Salford with tailored education and enrichment in a vibrant, accessible setting.

January 2024

Bolton Primary & Secondary Education Hub Opens

In January 24, we opened our Bolton hub in the heart of the town centre, creating a dedicated space to support young people across Bolton, Bury, Wigan and beyond with high-quality education, enrichment, and care tailored to local needs.

January 2025

We’re Bigger, Better, and Just Getting Started!

With three sites (and another on the way), over 60 staff, and more than 150 young people supported weekly across our centres and outreach, we’re proud to be making a difference across Salford, Trafford, Bury and Bolton, and there’s so much more to come.
